Soho Farmhouse is surrounded by 100 acres of Oxfordshire countryside. It is a destination for food and drink, wellness and outdoor activities. The property includes 114 bedrooms (cabins, huts and farmhouse bedrooms), a gym, Cowshed Spa, indoor and outdoor pools and cinema. On site there are multiple food and beverage outlets: The Main Barn, Comfy Farm, Fancy Farm, Pen Yen for Japanese izakaya-style dishes (robata grill, bind and sashimi) and Blake’s Kitchen for fresh bread, sausage rolls and cinnamon buns. The Little Bell is a local favourite for nose-to-tail cooking and natural wine.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to join our team at Soho Farmhouse (OX7 4JS). Your main responsibility is to ensure that the food we deliver to our members and guests is of the highest quality. This includes preparing food before service, setting up and stocking kitchen stations and plating to company standards.
What we are looking for in a Chef De Partie
* 1-2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile kitchen in a similar senior role
* Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
* Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
* Sense of urgency
* Yes, yes, yes mentality
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
* Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts when required
Physical Requirements
* Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects by hand
* Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
* Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required
Expected Working Hours
* Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes
* Average hours 45 hours per week
