Overview
Grow the account sales for advanced wound care through consultation with district nurses and community nurses and specialist teams in the community and hospital. Provide training and education to support product use. Pull through of formularies and pathways. Evaluations to support pathway/formulary inclusion. Work closely with the matrix team.
Territory
Black Country, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Shropshire, Telford, Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent
Key Responsibilities
* Drive overachievement of sales targets across territory
* Represent Convatec professionally within the community and some secondary care
* Demonstrate in-depth clinical and product knowledge within key indication areas
* Produce specific account growth plans detailing actions and resources
* Build comprehensive customer account plans
* Maximise clinical access to key brands through formulary inclusions or clinical guidelines
* Pull through of the business by the Account Manager following formulary inclusion
* Drive and support product implementation across care settings
* Ensure correct and competent use of Convatec brands through regular training
* Initiate and drive hospital/community product evaluations with key clinical decision makers
* Facilitate audits to gather prevalence data
* Plan and implement local study/educational activity to raise awareness of therapy areas
* Meet agreed metrics and standards, adhering to the company’s compliance policy and ethics
* Maintain a strong understanding of the CRM system and record calls daily
Qualifications
* Selling experience within medical/pharma industry, selling to primary and/or secondary care
* Strong team player, as part of a matrix team
* Degree level education, ideally in bioscience or nursing; recent bioscience graduates considered
* Tenacity, motivation, and goal orientation
* Strong and impactful communication skills with ability to build customer relationships and influence decision makers
* Understanding of NHS structure
* Track record of meeting or exceeding targets
* Strong presentation and IT skills
Working Requirements
In the field 5 days per week, 90% customer facing. Travel with minimal overnight stays as required.
