Job Title: Qualified SLD Teacher (Severe Learning Difficulty) – location may require travel within the Treetops Learning Community. You do not need SEND experience, but be willing to learn, have fun and be creative.

Pay: Subject to qualifications and experience plus SEN Allowance

Responsibilities
* Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver meaningful, creative, and engaging lessons adapted to the diverse needs of SEND learners; create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment; utilise a variety of teaching methods to meet all learners’ needs; plan lessons that promote active learning in line with the curriculum.
* EHCPs: Develop, implement, and review EHCPs in collaboration with parents, carers, and other professionals; monitor and assess learner progress against EHCP targets; ensure EHCPs are up-to-date and reflect current needs and aspirations; incorporate EHCP provisions into practice; work with the pathway leader to develop and review EHCPs to ensure SMART outcomes.
* Assessment: Ensure all assessment information is recorded to track progress and identify improvements; use assessment to plan interventions and monitor progress; provide constructive feedback to learners and parents/carers.
* Leading a Team: Lead and manage a team of teaching assistants and support staff; provide guidance, training, and support to ensure effective SEND provision; foster a collaborative and positive working environment; conduct appropriate staff appraisals.
* Curriculum Development: Contribute to developing and adapting the school curriculum to meet SEND needs; ensure accessibility and relevance of the curriculum; plan educational visits; collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources; attend and apply CPD within the curriculum.
* Adapting Learning: Adapt activities and materials to individual needs; use assistive technology to support learning; continually evaluate and adjust teaching to improve outcomes for SEND learners.
* Collaboration: Work with parents, carers, and external agencies; attend multi-agency meetings and reviews; communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure a cohesive SEND provision.
Qualifications And Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* You do not need SEND experience for this role; you will need willingness to learn.
