We are looking to appoint a Music Teacher to a popular and well-regarded academy in Portsmouth, starting September 2025. This is a school where the arts are valued, and music plays a central role in the curriculum and wider school life. Key Responsibilities

Deliver inspiring music lessons across KS3–KS5, focusing on theory, composition, and performance
*
Lead or support musical ensembles, school choir, and production rehearsals
*
Support and extend the school’s music curriculum through enrichment opportunities
*
Use music technology including DAWs, keyboards, and recording equipment as part of curriculum delivery
*
Engage pupils in a variety of genres and cultural traditions through inclusive schemes of work
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
QTS and a Music-related degree
*
Experience of teaching music in a secondary setting
*
Confidence in instrumental or vocal performance
*
Knowledge of a wide range of musical traditions and teaching methods
*
Strong classroom presence and enthusiasm for engaging all students
