Teaching Personnel is supporting students, aged 11 - 16, in a school in Luton to recruit a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker on a full-time basis, available for an immediate start.
The Role
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, attendance, and personal development of students. You will work closely with staff, students, and families to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and group support to students
* Support student wellbeing, attendance, and engagement
* Help students overcome barriers to learning
* Promote positive behaviour and social development
* Liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports

* Experience working with children or young people in a school or pastoral setting
* Empathetic, approachable, and professional
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and pupil wellbeing
