We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Worksop that’s looking for a confident Humanities Teacher. Whether your background is History, Geography, RE, or a mix of the lot, the school is open to meeting someone who brings energy, clarity, and a genuine love of big questions.

What the role looks like

1. Teaching Humanities across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available if you’d enjoy it)

2. Creating lessons that get students thinking, discussing, and challenging ideas

3. Working closely with a supportive department

4. Planning, marking, and contributing to the wider curriculum

5. Building positive relationships with pupils and helping them make real progress

6. Bringing your subject to life with stories, context, and a bit of creative flair

What the school is hoping for

7. A teacher with UK QTS or equivalent

8. Strong subject knowledge in at least one Humanities area

9. Someone who can explain big concepts in simple, memorable ways

10. Good behaviour management with a calm, consistent approach

11. A team-player who loves sharing ideas and supporting colleagues

12. A sense of humour and the ability to roll with the unexpected

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
