Are you passionate about investment research and eager to make a real impact? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and curious individual to join our dynamic investment team. In this role, you’ll play a part in shaping investment decisions and portfolio monitoring through rigorous operational due diligence and insightful analysis.


The role – what you’ll be doing

Border to Coast are now seeking an ODD Analyst to assist in the monitoring of investments, preparation, and maintenance of extensive due diligence reports. You will support investment decision-making, monitoring, and portfolio construction using internal and external data and research.

Perform ongoing monitoring of existing managers and strategies, including coordination of processes, to identify ODD risks and notify relevant teams.

* Drive Investment Insight: Assist in preparing and maintaining comprehensive due diligence reports using a blend of internal data and external research to support strategic investment decisions.
* Explore New Opportunities: Contribute to the evaluation and initial due diligence of new investment opportunities, working closely with senior team members.
* Monitor and Optimize: Support the ongoing monitoring of existing investment managers and strategies, ensuring performance and alignment with objectives.
* Collaborate and Contribute: Participate in cross-team investment meetings, share insights, and help shape investment thought leadership.
* Engage with Experts: Liaise with third-party service providers, including advisers, consultants, and research partners, to gather insights and maintain strong relationships.
* Champion Risk Awareness: Identify and communicate risks within your area of responsibility, contributing to proactive risk management.
* Support Where Needed: Assist other teams and contribute to broader organizational initiatives as required.


About you – and the value you’ll bring to our team

* We’re looking for people with a keen analytical mind, passion for investments and research.
* Some professional experience, ideally in finance and investment.
* Operational due diligence experience is preferred but not essential.
* You might have accounting, investment analysis, IT, data, internal audit, investment operations, private markets, or related experience.
* Experience in monitoring and oversight of external investment managers is beneficial.
* A basic knowledge of private markets, real estate, and fund investing is preferred but not essential.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk identification.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to interact across departments and establish relationships to source information and documentation.

Please note that this is not a KYC/AML due diligence or investment portfolio manager role.
