Are you an experienced PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant who can hit the ground running and provide high-quality, hands-on support to pupils with complex needs?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated PMLD SEN TA to work in supportive school settings across Ashford, making an immediate and meaningful impact.
As a PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, helping them access learning through personalised approaches and specialist support.
What you have to do:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with PMLD
Support learning through sensory-based activities and personalised programmes
Assist pupils with physical needs, including personal care where required
Promote communication using appropriate strategies and tools
Support emotional regulation, engagement, and wellbeing
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
What we need:
Proven experience working with pupils with PMLD or complex SEN needs
Ability to fit in quickly and hit the ground running
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply with GSL Education
