Position Title EDD Advisory Manager-Team 2 Location NY / 1400 Broadway Floor 07 Job Summary A EDD/Advisory Manager assists the Bank Secrecy/OFAC Officer and the Director, EDD/Advisory Group with maintaining certain aspects of the Bank's BSA/AML compliance program and assists in meeting and maintaining BSA/AML compliance requirements of the Bank. Complies with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), as well as adhering to the Bank's policies and procedures to reduce loss/risk to the Bank. Manages a team of EDD/AML Analysts in the EDD Advisory Group that conduct reviews that may range from routine to the highest level of complexity of high risk customers, including extensive analysis and documentation of the Bank's "know-your-customer" for these individuals/entities, the investigation of cases and alerts generated on the Bank's Transaction Monitoring & Case Management System for potentially suspicious activity. Completes and tracks various Quality Control functions in the BSA Department. Manages and ensures the timely filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) in accordance with FinCEN's guidance and regulations. Responsible for the day-to-day management of a EDD/Advisory team including overseeing the distribution of reviews, providing procedural guidance to the staff, training and complying with Internal Audit and Regulatory related requests. Assigned team may be structured according to skill level and complexity of work. Pay Range: $71,600.00 - $87,947.00 - $132,600.00 Job Responsibilities: Manages a team of EDD/AML Analysts conducting enhanced due diligence reviews of the Bank's high-risk customers and other on demand due diligence reviews. Assigned team may be structured according to skill level and complexity of work. Manages the Cannabis Related Business Program (CRB) which includes the initial due diligence review and onboarding of prospective customers, as well as all ongoing monitoring of approved customers. Provides training, processes and procedural guidance to analysts. Manages the distribution of work among analysts. Provides metrics and trending information to management. Provides oversight on EDD review quality and addresses deficiencies identified. Escalates time sensitive issues to management. Performs quality assurance review of EDD reviews, 90 day reviews, SAR filings, cases and other work produced by the team. Assists in the review and collection of Internal Audit and exam deliverables. Assists with the updates to departmental procedures. Assists in ad-hoc projects and provide appropriate guidance to project teams. Interfaces with relevant units in regards to investigations as well as other ad-hoc projects. Administers personnel-related matters including interviewing and recommendations for hire, disciplinary action, performance evaluations, and training and development of staff. Provides guidance to business units on complying with the beneficial ownership rule and other regulatory requirements. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of four (4) years of progressive work experience in banking & AML or financial investigations. Management experience and/or experience leading and directing staff. Experience with performing and reviewing transaction analysis, case and alert investigations, enhanced due diligence reviews and suspicious activity reporting. CAMS designation preferred. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Excellent knowledge of BSA, and USA Patriot Act regulations. Familiarity with navigating banking systems, teller transactions and accessing customer transaction histories. Advanced PC Skills; MS Word, Excel, Internet, World-Check. Strong leadership skills and ability to manage people using sound judgment with an understanding of how to operate effectively within a bank. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
