Aurorium is currently seeking a Global Materials Manager to be located in Liverpool, the UK. The role shall be fluent German essential with willingness to travel to our Linz, Austria manufacturing site when necessary. The role will help deliver the goals and objectives of the Global Strategic Sourcing organization. The role supports global sourcing project execution of all aspects of the procurement process relating to indirect Procurement including CAPEX, services, MRO, and maintenance. The ideal candidates will be self-starters focused on delivering results who can work independently, identify, and provide continuous improvement opportunities, and thrive in a team environment.

Role Specific Responsibilities
Commodities and projects:
* Develop market intelligence on key suppliers/markets and contribute to business forecast/planning and assist in the efficient management of Indirect Materials, Goods and Services
* Lead sourcing effort of assigned commodities
* Select and manage vendor relationship
* Collaborate with plant operations negotiating requirements
* Identify and evaluate new suppliers, request quotes, negotiate contracts
* Maintain supplier records in SAP (e.g., bank details, address changes) and manage supplier onboarding
* Manage procurement processes, including creating purchase orders, year orders, quarterly orders and contracts in SAP
* Oversee invoice verification, resolve discrepancies with suppliers, and ensure proper documentation in SAP.(e.g. offer, order confirmation
* Handle supplier relationship management utilizing KPI expectations
* Monitor and evaluate Supplier performance
* Manage contract negotiation
* Lead the 7-step procurement process
* Negotiate based on the best value, service, and quality as per requirements
* Conduct price, condition, and contract negotiations for annual, semi-annual, or quarterly agreements with approved suppliers, and manage vendor relationship to assure security of supply at the best costs
* Conduct alternative sourcing to assure Linz is market competitive
* Support other sites with SAP tasks (e.g. creation/modification/blocking/deletion of contracts), monthly price updates in SAP (ECC Production), long-term supplier declarations and invoice approvals
Data Governance And Reporting
* Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
* Coordinate with other functions to review and reconcile quality, pricing, and delivery differences
* Attending, schedule, and participate in various meetings
* Assists with special projects as needed
* Support New Product Development sourcing efforts

* Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
* Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
* Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

Education and Qualifications:
* Business or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience
* 7-10 years’ experience in Procurement. Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred
* Plant operations background preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Experience in negotiating agreements/contracts with a solid understanding of legal
* Toller management experience is a plus
* Strong communication and analytical skills
* Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and matrix organization
* Strong working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office
* A change agent with knowledge of process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, MRP, others)
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
* Ability to adjust to the fast-moving working environment, handling multiple competing goals and objectives
