About The Role

An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to head the high-achieving Business and Travel Department at Eccles Sixth Form College.

Our department offers a wide-ranging curriculum from Level 1 to Level 3 across Business, Travel, and Tourism, designed to prepare students for both higher education and the professional world. We are seeking an individual with the vision and expertise to shape a progressive curriculum that inspires ambition, drives achievement, and promotes excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong strategic leadership, with the ability to meet the evolving needs of our learners and the industries we serve. A key element of this role will be strengthening and expanding partnerships with employers and industry professionals, ensuring students gain valuable real-world insight and practical experience.

Our students benefit from access to state-of-the-art resources, including digital learning environments, business simulation software, dedicated teaching spaces, and industry-focused enrichment opportunities. The department is supported by a team of committed subject specialists who deliver outstanding education and support across all pathways. We are looking for an experienced manager and inspiring educator with a proven track record of leading quality enhancement initiatives within and beyond their department. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of performance data, and the ability to drive improvements in attendance, achievement, and student progression.
