An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Blackpool Council's Adult Social Care Learning Disability Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Worker to support adults and young people with learning disabilities.
About the Role:
1. As part of a multidisciplinary team including NHS health professionals and Adult Social Care staff, you will be responsible for:
2. Conducting Care Act Assessments and Reviews
3. Supporting and safeguarding adults and young people with learning disabilities
4. Managing risk and leading safeguarding cases
5. Collaborating with service users, families, staff teams, and external partners
Requirements:
1. Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
2. Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014
3. Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and their families
4. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
5. Passionate about supporting individuals with learning disabilities
