In this rewarding position, you'll support customers with complex backgrounds and support needs, focusing on housing security and concierge duties. Each day offers new opportunities to positively impact our customers’ lives.
Our customers live within one of 5 buildings, each with their own accommodation. Most are within walking distance, with one slightly further away. Our team helps them develop independent living skills to move on to their own accommodation.
A typical shift will involve
* Supporting customers experiencing homelessness or difficulties maintaining their accommodation by conducting risk assessments, support planning, and reviews.
* Leading health and safety efforts, patrolling to ensure fire doors are secure, and areas are safe and clean.
* Being the first point of contact for customers when their support networks are unavailable, responding to incidents, and thinking quickly.
* Building meaningful connections through conversations, support, and problem solving.

You bring
* Experience in caring roles, professionally or personally, such as supporting family or children.
* A calm, resilient approach to managing challenging situations and working under pressure.
* Sociability, interest in people, and keen observation skills to notice behavioral changes.
* Ability to intervene sensitively when issues arise.
* A team player who can also work independently, with support from our wider team including out-of-hours emergency support.
Our team
We have hours available in Yeovil, with managers Agata and Nick. Our team of 3 Housing Management Coordinators and 7 Support Coordinators are passionate about their work. We’re supportive and here to support you too.
