About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals loved by our residents. You’ll maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether managing food supplies, assisting with equipment, or cleaning, your focus will always be on Resident wellbeing.
We are looking for someone with some kitchen experience, ideally with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to obtain one. Good record-keeping, organizational skills, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. You should be considerate and kind when communicating with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You must be able to seek advice, report concerns, and escalate issues if necessary.
