Heavyweight Digital are seeking a motivated SEO Manager to join our growing digital marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple clients and applying effective optimisation strategies, ensuring our clients rank highly on search engines. Duties
* Conduct comprehensive keyword research and optimise website content accordingly to improve search engine rankings.
* Manage and update content across various content management systems, including WordPress.
* Implement and monitor SEO strategies using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, Screaming Frog.
* Develop and optimise metadata, including titles, descriptions, and tags, to enhance visibility.
* Analyse website performance data to identify optimisation opportunities and report on key metrics.
* Collaborate with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital content.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
Requirements
* Proven experience in SEO optimisation and digital marketing strategies.
* Proficiency in WordPress and familiarity with content management systems.
* Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and SEO tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
* Knowledge of schema markup, structured data, and XML sitemaps.
* Understanding of E-E-A-T principles and how to build topical authority.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently.
* Track record of acquiring high-quality backlinks through outreach, digital PR, or content marketing.
* Experience with competitor backlink analysis and identifying link opportunities.
* Understanding of link quality assessment and avoiding toxic links.
* Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong communication skills for presenting strategies and results to clients.
* Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritise workload effectively.
* Experience working in an agency environment (preferred but not essential).
Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid position based at our office in Essex. The role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with the remaining days available for remote work. Office days will be agreed with your line manager to ensure effective team collaboration and client support.
