About the role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver the quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's smooth operation in a friendly environment.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be 18 years or older.
Key Responsibilities
* Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
* Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
* Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
* Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
* Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential skills/experience
* Valid UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
* IT literate.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
