Operations Co-Ordinator
Location: On-site - Redditch
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm / Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
The Opportunity
A family-owned business based in Redditch is seeking an Operations Co-Ordinator to join their close-knit team. The successful candidate will work closely with and report directly to the Managing Director, gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of the business. The role is varied and hands-on, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to after-sales support, while also assisting with wider operational and administrative tasks.
This position would suit someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, getting involved, and developing their skills within a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain clear and professional communication with customers via email and telephone regarding products, orders, and service requirements
Accurately process customer orders and generate relevant sales and operational documentation
Prepare quotations and follow up with customers as required
Advise customers on products and accessories, guiding them towards the most suitable solutions
Liaise with couriers and customers to ensure smooth deliveries and a positive customer experience
Investigate and resolve issues relating to delayed, lost, or missing parcels
Manage customer queries and complaints in a professional and solution-focused manner
Support day-to-day operational tasks across the business as required, including learning practical elements of the role
Work collaboratively across the team to support shared business objectivesSkills & Experience
Essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
Confident using computer systems and office-based software
A proactive and solutions-focused approachDesirable
Experience in customer service, sales administration, or a retail/trade environment
Background within electrical wholesale, or a technical product-based business
Experience preparing quotations and processing orders
