Join us as a Repairs Manager at Thirteen Group!
Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Repairs Manager to join our Repairs and Maintenance team at Hudson Quay, Middlesbrough. You’ll be responsible for a local team of operatives and team leaders, running the day-to-day repairs service to maximise operational service delivery.
This is a roam role, so you’ll work at least one day a week from our office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough, as well as on site and at home. You may need to come into the office more frequently when required to support business and team needs.
Key Responsibilities
* You’ll be leading a large team of multi-skilled trade operatives and team leaders, ensuring KPIs are met to maintain excellent service delivery levels.
* You will oversee all aspects of team performance, conducting regular 1:1s, managing absence, disciplinary procedures and training development.
* You are the point of escalation for customer complaints, so you’ll need to take a balanced and proactive approach to ensuring positive outcomes.
* You’ll be part of the Repairs management team, so you’ll be comfortable challenging inefficiencies and suggesting innovative ways of working to continuously improve the service.
* You’ll be part of the call-out rota for the repairs service. In practice, this amounts to 1 week every 6 months on call.
About You
* You’ll have proven experience directly managing a multi-skilled team of operatives.
* You should have an excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in a repairs service.
* You will be confident coaching your team and delivering training sessions.
* Ideally, you’ll have some experience or knowledge of the housing sector, but we’d encourage applications from candidates out of sector who meet the other requirements.
* You’ll have a full UK driving licence and a vehicle to enable you to travel across the region during the working day.
