Position Title: Buyer
Location: Dungannon
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Hours of work: 39 ¾ HOURS 8.00 AM – 5:00 PM MONDAY – THURSDAY, 8.00 AM – 2.15 PM FRIDAY
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for scheduling the flow of production parts from suppliers to Terex Dungannon to efficiently support production and manage inventory to an optimum level
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Liaise with suppliers and production
2. Interpret and implement sales and operational plans
3. Attend daily control room meetings
4. Monitoring and updating pricing agreements
5. Raising purchase orders and approving invoices
6. Using the Oracle Terex Management System
7. Supporting any tendering or pricing requests
Experience and Qualifications:
8. Third level education or equivalent preferably in a business studies, engineering or related discipline
9. Experience of working in a busy office environment. Supply Chain experience would be a distinct advantage
10. Good computer skills are essential, experience of working with ERP/MRP systems would also be desirable
11. The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
12. Experience of Oracle would be an advantage
13. Excellent verbal/written communication skills
14. CIPS qualified or working towards it preferred
