JOB PURPOSE
AML Counterparty Management, as part of the ICE Futures Europe (IFEU) Market Regulation department, is responsible for ensuring that the Exchanges and Clearing Houses it supports have appropriate AML/CTF policies, procedures and processes in place to comply with their regulatory obligations.
The AML/KYC Analyst role will be responsible for undertaking customer due diligence and periodic reviews on Exchange and Clearing Members. The Analyst will review and assess Member firms’ AML systems and controls to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. The role involves working closely with key stakeholders and handling unique AML risk scenarios.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct KYC/AML tasks including CDD/EDD for new membership applications, periodic reviews, and trigger events as per Policies and Procedures.
2. Lead engagements with senior stakeholders at Member firms, such as high frequency traders, brokerages, investment banks, and proprietary trading firms, to assess their AML systems and controls.
3. Review and resolve automated alerts related to PEPs, adverse media, and sanctions.
4. Assist stakeholders with KYC/AML onboarding processes.
5. Contribute to the production of key metrics and management information.
6. Support process improvements and participate in ad-hoc projects.
* Stay updated on regulatory developments affecting ICE and its customers.
* Manage personal workload to ensure timely task completion.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
* Degree-level education; ICA or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in financial crime or compliance, preferably within capital markets.
* Knowledge of UK, EU, and other AML regulations including MiFID and JMLSG.
* Excellent communication skills, report writing, and analytical thinking.
* Ability to identify problems and resolve issues efficiently.
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
* Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
* Interest in research, business, current affairs, and data analytics tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Sigma.
