 
        
        Immunisation Nurse – Central Cambridgeshire
Vaccination UK Ltd. is seeking an experienced Immunisation Nurse to deliver high quality vaccination services across Cambridgeshire. The role is based at Huntingdon, PE29 6XU and involves working in school settings as well as community clinics.
Job Summary
The post holder will undertake clinical and administrative duties related to immunisation, primarily delivered on site for primary and secondary children in schools and community clinic settings.
Responsibilities
 * Travel to various sites as needed, working within a small team of vaccinators.
 * Administer vaccinations efficiently to meet hourly targets, including IM and nasal routes.
 * Undertake clinical triage of consent forms and contact parents/guardians as required.
 * Address clinical enquiries from parents/guardians and staff within your scope.
 * Transport vaccines to and from sessions as required.
 * Participate in clinical supervision and contribute to staff performance and development.
 * Report, monitor, and process all clinical incidents and near misses in accordance with company policies.
 * Ensure safeguarding concerns are promptly reported and followed up.
 * Participate in audits and health promotion activities as required.
 * Conduct Gillick competency assessments and obtain verbal consent from parents and caregivers.
 * Maintain a professional demeanor as the representative of Vaccination UK when attending schools.
 * Perform other duties appropriate to the role and comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications
 * Registered Nurse, Pharmacist or allied healthcare professional registered with NMC, GPhC, or HCPC.
 * Relevant nursing and/or midwifery qualification.
 * Evidence of ongoing professional development.
 * Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
 * Implementation of informed consent principles.
 * Computer literacy.
 * Understanding of the Cold Chain Policy.
Desirable
 * Basic Life Support certification.
 * Proven competency in administering IM injections.
 * Experience working within PGD frameworks.
