Our Role
As a Junior Jersey Designer, you will design across the jersey and lounge categories. You will support the Design Manager in delivering TWC Clothing strategy alongside the BMDT teams, helping to develop ways to build the brand image, strengthen TWC's market position, and increase profits through your designs. You will have an excellent eye for quality and luxury, with a sharp awareness of relevant fashion trends and an understanding of how to influence TWC customers in a timely manner.
You will contribute and collaborate on the seasonal concept, driving your department’s design direction while ensuring alignment with the overall vision of the Design team.
You will identify new product opportunities and emerging trends, working closely with buying teams to develop commercially viable and customer-appropriate designs for TWC.
What you’ll be doing Gather trends and inspiration for product ranges and create design spec packs for jersey.
Develop the range by working closely with buying, technical teams, and suppliers to translate designs into commercially viable products, advising on construction, details, or artworks. Ensure the range evolves to meet TWC customer demands.
Collaborate with Buying and Merchandising teams to communicate ideas effectively.
Ensure all designs are executed on time, meeting critical path deadlines.
Work alongside the Design Manager to produce a coordinated clothing collection, ensuring designs can be used as part of key outfits and looks.
Sourcing from the supply base and building relationships with suppliers.
Travel and research directional and comparative trends and product directions.
React to sales data to design commercially relevant ranges.
Source new yarns or components for sample development to drive product and range innovation.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the market, supplier base, competition, and customer requirements.
Skills & Experience Needed Previous experience as a womenswear designer within a premium athleisure or international fashion brand, ideally at TWC market level (entry luxury).
Strong sketching and CAD skills.
A proven track record of creative and commercial success within a retail BMDT team.
BA degree in Fashion/Textiles Design or equivalent.

Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
Strong sketching and spec skills, understanding garment production; computer skills including Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD.
Original thinking with a strong eye for design influences.
Self-motivated and flexible to handle various tasks.
Strong enthusiasm for the TWC brand.
Ability to work under pressure and with strong personalities.
