Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Cheltenham (min. 3 days a week)
Reporting to: Director of Food and Coffee
Contract Type: 12 months FTC
Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager leads supplier management, procurement and logistics, ensuring it they run smoothly across all locations. This role ensures every store and the Central Production Kitchen (CPK) receive high-quality ingredients and packaging supplies on time and within budget, working closely with product development, marketing, finance and store teams. They also oversee stock management and epos management systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategic sourcing – Build and execute robust sourcing strategies for all ingredients, finished products and packaging
· Food & Drink menu procurement planning - Align purchasing with menu launches, including both NPD and ingredients quality improvements, ensuring smooth and successful product launches throughout the year
· Supplier management - Negotiate pricing and manage service levels; monitor supplier performance
· Systems – Responsible for the overall stock management and epos systems, ensuring their maintenance and accuracy, as well as any troubleshooting
· Rebates - To validate the rebates received from supply chain, including listing fees and supplier monies
· Inventory optimisation across multiple sites - Implement par levels, suggest ways to reduce waste, and ensure accurate stock management. Management of bespoke stock, including set up, pricing, delists and zero stock write-offs
· APL’s - To own and manage the Company APLs, investigating and rectifying discrepancies with suppliers promptly
· Cost control and margin protection - Track food cost, monitor commodity price trends, and support menu engineering decisions
· Data analytics and reporting – Work closely with Finance, to forecast demand, analyse spend, and report on KPIs. To provide supplier specific forecasts for changes in volume & new ingredients
· Cross-functional collaboration - Work closely with Development, Operations, Finance, Technical and marketing teams to support menu launches and operational needs
· Sustainability and ethical sourcing - Drive initiatives around waste reduction, responsible sourcing, and packaging optimisation
· EPR compliance – Responsible for compiling and submitting the required information accurately and punctually, as well as being the lead contact for Producer Responsibility obligations
Required Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Hospitality, or related field
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally within a restaurant group or foodservice environment
· Experience managing multi-site operations and distributor relationships
