Art Teacher – Inspire Creativity & Confidence in SEMH Students
Based in Blandford Forum | KS3–KS4 | Part time 0.4/0.6 | Immediate or September start
Are you a passionate and creative Art Teacher looking to make a real impact? We are seeking a dedicated and imaginative Art Teacher to join our specialist team, working with KS3 and KS4 students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You’ll deliver engaging and therapeutic art lessons, helping students achieve meaningful outcomes through GCSE Art or the Arts Award. This is a chance to use your creativity to unlock potential, boost confidence, and support emotional wellbeing in a nurturing environment.
* A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Experience working with students with additional needs – SEMH experience is highly desirable
* Someone with a passion for art and the ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs and abilities
* A team player who values collaboration and pastoral support
* Teaching Art GCSE or Arts Award to small classes
* Building strong, trusting relationships with students
* Creating a safe, inspiring learning space where students feel confident to express themselves
* Supporting students’ emotional development as well as academic progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
