Process staff expenses and credit card expenses on a daily/weekly basis ensuring all relevant receipts, invoices and back up documents are attached; weekly payment runs to suppliers and regular supplier statement reconciliations. Monitor creditor days to assist working capital management. Bank reconciliations Post bank movements daily and ensure all posting are accurate and up to date in preparation for the Finance Manager to carry out the bank reconciliation. Campaign management Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc campaign management by opening and closing campaigns as requested. Complete campaign journals and liaise with Client Services and Partnerships to ensure all Purchase Orders are in place and accurate. Assist the Finance Manager with monthly Campaign Revenue reconciliations as required. Sales ledger Chase payments from clients as and when required, liaising with Account Managers if necessary. Send out monthly debtors’ statements and be responsible for monitoring debtor days to assist in the working capital management of the business. Ensure all payments are processed and allocated correctly. Support the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly sales invoices. Administration Responsible for collecting post, arranging couriers and messengers. Monitor office equipment and replenish as required, ensuring the office is welcoming. Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc requests in relation to social events, travel, corporate bookings, etc. Skills and experience This person may have some experience of working/studying within an accounts function and is keen to pursue a career within accounting. Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with enquiries over the telephone, MS Teams/Zoom and face to face. Good organisational skills, able to manage their own time. Numerate, accurate and has good attention to detail. Previous experience of accounting systems and a good knowledge of Excel will be beneficial. A keen eye for detail, conscientious and able to manage a number of tasks at any given time. Has a “what can I do to help?” attitude. Approachable, a good team player and able to work independently on their own initiative. Keen to learn about the business and able to quickly apply this learning. Co-operative and positive in their approach to people, and open and receptive to new ideas.
