NHS Tayside is seeking to appoint a significant number of Clinical & Applied Psychologists trained to Doctorate level. This includes an expansion of an already thriving service. Opportunities exist to combine different specialist posts to reflect career interests of suitable candidates. Applications are welcomed from people looking to work on a full-time or part-time basis.

The NHS Tayside Psychological Therapies Service has a complement of around 160 clinical and applied staff with an additional 26 trainees. The Service provides a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment in which to work. There are opportunities for involvement in teaching and research, with close links to the Universities of Dundee and Edinburgh. Members contribute to supervision and training of trainees on the Edinburgh/East and South of Scotland Clinical Psychology Course and the Universities of Dundee MSc in Clinical & Applied Psychology Course. We have a Clinical Psychologists with a remit to promote and support research within the service, with both qualified staff and trainees.

You will be joining a forward-thinking Service with links and working relationships with Dundee, Perth & Kinross and Angus Health & Social Care Partnerships and the acute services of NHS Tayside. The Service is hosted within Dundee Health & Social Care Partnership. We are committed to authentic leadership and have a strong leadership team of 23 Consultant Psychologists who support the work of the Director and Deputy Director. The leadership model is mirrored in each specialty for clinical staff. We invest in training and professional development, including Schema Focused Therapy and EMDR.
