The Role...
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate environmentalist to support our business and customers in delivering legal and voluntary sustainability and environmental objectives. This role involves collaborating with colleagues, clients, and regulators to promote environmental safeguarding.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing expert environmental advice during all project phases
* Establishing baseline conditions and ensuring regulatory compliance
* Conducting inspections and audits for legal compliance
* Monitoring and reporting on environmental performance
* Developing environmental management plans (EMS), waste, and emergency response plans
* Delivering training to foster a positive environmental culture
* Monitoring environmental incidents and facilitating investigations
* Promoting continuous learning and improvement
Candidate requirements:
Extensive experience in the environmental sector, knowledge of relevant legislation, waste management expertise, and familiarity with permits and compliance. Experience with ecology, archaeology, arboriculture, water environments, and managing permits is essential. Proven ability in data compilation for assessments like ESOS, SECR, ISO14064. Professional qualifications such as IEMA, CIWEM, IES, CIWM, a degree in environmental discipline, and ISO14001 experience are important. A valid driving license is required.
