Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our trust as a Data Protection Officer Apprentice. This role will support the wider team ensuring personal data is handed lawfully, securely and in line with data protection legislation. The DPO apprentice will support the Data protection officer by handling SAR and FOI requests. The Opportunity
Responsibilities
* Assisting with responses to Data Subject Requests (DSARs), including access, rectification and erasure requests.
* Supporting the monitoring and logging of data breaches, helping staff follow incident-reporting procedures.
* Helping maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
* Assisting with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
Qualifications
* Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Willingness to learn about legislation such as the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act.
* Ability to interact and communicate professionally with colleagues and clients at all levels, adapting working styles to suit the circumstances in order to build and maintain positive working relationships.
* High personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality and organising workload.
* Ability to work as part of a team effectively.
