As an Assistant Project Manager at WSP in the PMCM Rail team, you will be involved in delivering complex rail projects of regional, national, and international importance. An Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in integrating multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring project delivery is safe, of high quality, timely, and within budget.

Your Role Includes:
* Assisting in leading multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure safe, high-quality, timely, and budget-compliant project delivery.
* Coordinating disciplines through meetings and workshops to resolve issues and meet safety, functional, and regulatory standards.
* Establishing robust processes with the Client’s team for effective project management.
* Developing and managing Client and stakeholder relationships.
* Preparing monthly reports and data scenarios for senior management.
* Engaging with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, authorities, and community groups.
* Facilitating meetings, presentations, and progress reports.
* Managing project budgets, costs, and changes.
* Identifying and mitigating risks during design and construction phases.
* Supporting safety leadership and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
* Developing detailed project plans and monitoring progress.
* Implementing innovative solutions to improve project efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in engineering or management discipline.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., APM, MSP, PMI, PRINCE2, Six Sigma) are beneficial.
* Experience managing significant projects, preferably with Client-side delivery in the rail sector.
* Ability to work successfully within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Curiosity, solution focus, and responsiveness to Client issues.
