Role Overview
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a professional team or department. The team drives the overall financial governance and business analytic deliverables of the business. The role coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary. Manages ad hoc projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
Partner with local and regional business management team to ensure alignment of business goalsAssist leadership and stakeholders with developing projects, determining strategies, and defining/providing metricsPrepare analytics in support of executive Reviews, including business initiativesDevelop and maintain relationships with key partners and senior management to influence behavior and decision makingExecute analysis of annual 3-year Strategic/Operating Plans, mid-year reforecasts, and monthly outlooks in partnership with management team and LFOsPrepare materials, record minutes, and follow-up as needed on items for business committees and/ or regular business meetingsSeek out sources, track, consolidate and analyze ad-hoc and regular business requestsDrive implementation of business-driven projects across functions, working closely with relevant senior leadershipProvide input into and recommend technology change, process improvements and control framework enhancementsSeek out and ensure corrective actions are implemented for control related issues and remedial action is takenCommunicate business knowledge, product knowledge, and requirements to business and support functionsActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in financial markets business or business support6+ years of demonstrated success in managing large, complex budgets/financials3+ years of experience in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders3+ years experience working with Data metricsMust have strong data analytics experienceMust have strong Excel experienceAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirementsAbility to work with counterparts in different areas of organizationAbility to manage workstreams in parallel and prioritizeProven problem-solving and decision-making skillsExperience in Chief of Staff Office or FP&A is preferredDemonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite; basic macro coding experience and proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint preferredConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillstechnology organization experience is a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
