Job Overview
This post is fixed‑term/secondment until 31.03.2027 due to maternity leave and is open to fully BSE accredited individuals.
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board provides a dynamic echo service, delivering up to 2 000 transthoracic echocardiograms each month and running multiple physiologist‑led clinics (stress, valve, LVO, bubble). Staff development is encouraged.
Main duties of the job
* Work in the Cardiology department to perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms independently to British Society of Echocardiography standards.
* Assist with TOE, bubble studies and LVO.
* Assist in the expansion of physiologist‑led clinics.
* Interpret technical information and data from investigations and prepare reports.
* Communicate effectively within the department and across other departments of the Trust.
* Assist in training echo students and Cardiology registrars.
* Undertake rotational commitments in other local hospitals and community clinics.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but English and/welsh speakers are equally welcome.
