Lead Digital Designer
Location: Barnsley (on-site)
Salary: £28,500 – £35,000 DOE

Overview:
My client, a well-established and growing creative agency based in South Yorkshire, is seeking a talented Lead Digital Designer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional with a strong grasp of UX principles, digital design, and brand storytelling to take ownership of a diverse range of digital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the full design lifecycle for websites and digital products, from wireframes and site maps to polished prototypes.
* Ensure all designs meet accessibility and UX best practices.
* Build and maintain design systems and reusable components using tools like Figma.
* Manage client feedback, proofing, and revisions to align designs with project objectives.
* Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless design handover and execution.
* Lead and manage website testing processes to uphold quality and functionality.
* Support wider studio activities including marketing collateral, video elements, and other creative output.
Desirable Experience:
* Experience in brand identity and strategy development
* Working knowledge of accessibility design standards
* Ability to create 2D and 3D animations for web using tools such as Blender, Spline, or After Effects
* Experience designing motion and video components like intros, transitions, and branded templates
Essential Skills & Experience:
* 3–6 years of experience in digital or brand design
* Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
* Advanced proficiency in Figma
* Strong understanding of UX principles and how to apply them across digital touchpoints
* Familiarity with flowchart and user journey mapping tools like Lucidchart
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Proficiency with project management tools and professional ICT platforms
* A portfolio that clearly demonstrates high-quality digital and brand design work
