West Yorkshire Police are offering an exciting opportunity for an Estates Facilities Officer to join our Estates and Business Services Directorate.
Duties include overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, contractor performance management, building audits and the management of our team of maintenance officers.
The candidate will proactively manage, monitor and ensure delivery on agreed Facilities Management and PFI contractors' performance standards in line with contract specifications ensuring performance targets, service standards and value for money are achieved.
They will also establish and maintain client relationships on our contracts and provide monthly contract performance reports to ensure the Department's Management Team are kept fully informed of the progress and performance of contracts and contract delivery.
The candidate will also undertake regular building inspections of their buildings ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, other appropriate legislation and the Force's Building Security Requirements and implement recommendations.
Monthly financial assessments will also be completed ensuring that all invoices and financial applications for payment from Contractors are checked and validated in line with the relevant contract.
In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for providing budget estimates and will manage small scale moves and changes and provide support to Project and Change Managers on major projects to ensure that Department's capital programme are met.
The position includes a substantial holiday entitlement and a defined benefit pension with a generous employer's contribution.
