POST TITLE: Local Government Reform (LGR) Project Officer
SECTION: Community Safety Unit
SALARY: Grade 6 (£32,417 – £36,466) pa
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Contract Type: Full Time/Permanent

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work for Swale Borough Council to provide project management support for Local Government Reform.

Local Government Reform plans will see a complete reorganisation of local government across Kent. This roll will be supporting the programme lead to deliver the Swale Borough Council LGR Implementation Plan, including key projects and work streams. You will also be collecting and analysing data from internal teams and external agencies to inform this work. You will also ensure there are effective engagement plans in place to work with partner agencies and the local community.

This is a permanent position working full time, 34 hours per week.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of project management and working within local government, with data analytical skills, and an excellent communicator. You will be able to use initiative and problem solve and be able to work under pressure.

This is a hybrid role, with remote and office-based work. You will also need to have the ability to travel across sites in the borough and have the flexibility to be available outside of normal office hours when required.
