As a national umbrella body, RCC works to empower Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic individuals and communities by tackling racial prejudice and discrimination, and advocating for inclusive and equitable policy and practice at all levels of society.

Chai and Chat Support Worker / Administrator

Salary: £13.46 per hour
Hours: 12 hours per week
Duration: Initially 12 months
Based: Race Council Cymru (RCC) Multicultural Hub, in Arts Wing of The Grand Theatre, Swansea

At RCC’s Swansea Multicultural Hub, they believe in the power of connection, community, and cultural exchange.

Their mission is to create a safe, welcoming space where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships.

The Chai & Chat group, for women from multi-ethnic backgrounds, is at the heart of this mission—offering structured yet friendly weekly sessions that promote integration, improve wellbeing, and empower individuals to thrive in their community.

The role is divided into two parts, and is essentially to develop, coordinate and run the Chai and Chat group based in the Multicultural Hub.

You will also be responsible for providing administrative support for RCC as a whole. You will work as part of a small team within the Swansea Office to support the overall running of the RCC projects and activities.

Experience of living and/or working with women from diverse ethnic backgrounds is essential.
