Business Analyst, Payment Risk Analytics

As a Business Analyst in Payment Risk Analytics, you will analyze large datasets to identify specific risks, broader risk trends, and customer friction points, developing scalable prevention solutions. You will collaborate with team members to ensure that flagged volumes align with capacity and SLAs. You will also build operational and business metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Understand the various operations across Payment Risk
2. Design and develop dashboards and metrics using SQL and Tableau/Excel
3. Gather stakeholder requirements and map them with data sources/data warehouse
4. Deliver and maintain periodic metrics and dashboards for leadership
5. Create visualizations, identify trends and anomalies in data
6. Lead high-impact projects to improve operations with Operations Analytics managers
7. Perform business analysis and data queries using appropriate tools
8. Collaborate with business, engineering, and partner teams
9. Apply analytical methods such as ANOVA, regression, forecasting, and Machine Learning techniques
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 1+ years of experience in tax, finance, or related analytical fields
* 2+ years of experience with complex Excel VBA macros
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Experience defining requirements and deriving insights from data
* Proficiency in SQL or ETL processes
* Experience with reporting and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience working with very large datasets
