This is an excellent opportunity for someone with automotive, commercial vehicle, HGV, LCV or dealership experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As an HGV Service Advisor, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the service department, acting as the main point of contact for customers and ensuring they receive accurate, timely updates throughout the repair and maintenance process. You will also support workshop efficiency, job preparation, invoicing, WIP control and customer satisfaction. This role would suit a highly organised, confident and proactive individual with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload. Key Responsibilities - Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the service process - Book vehicles into the workshop and ensure all job details are accurately recorded - Provide regular updates to customers regarding vehicle progress and completion times - Clarify repair requirements including retail, fleet and warranty work - Gain customer authorisation and order numbers where required - Promote additional workshop services and repairs where appropriate - Manage Work in Progress and support workshop loading/utilisation - Raise invoices and ensure accurate costing of completed work - Maintain vehicle history and service records accurately - Follow up no-show bookings and carry out post-visit customer calls - Liaise with parts, workshop and subcontractors as required - Ensure all customer-facing areas are kept professional and presentable - Support health and safety, company processes and department standards Candidate Requirements - MUST HAVE Service Advisor experience within automotive, HGV, LCV, dealership or commercial vehicle environments - Strong customer service and communication skills - Excellent organisational and administration ability - Confident handling calls, face-to-face enquiries and customer updates - Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities - Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines - Comfortable working with costing, invoicing and workshop information - Proactive, professional and able to work both independently and as part of a team - Technical knowledge or commercial vehicle experience would be advantageous Working Hours 42 hours per week across 3 alternating Monday to Friday shifts: - 5:30am - 2:30pm - 8:00am - 5:00pm - 10:00am - 7:00pm - 1 hour unpaid break per shift - Plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 7:00am - 12:00pm Benefits - Basic salary up to £32,000 per annum (Depending on Experience) - Bonus up to £3,000 per annum - OTE up to £35,000 - 30 days annual leave including bank holidays - Additional leave for long service - Holiday purchase scheme - Employer pension scheme - Free Class IV MOT per year - Mental Health First Aiders - Technician referral bonus - Paternity pay - Personal accident scheme - Corporate uniform provided - Cycle to work scheme - Ongoing manufacturer and career development training Apply Now If you are an experienced Service Advisor looking for your next opportunity within a busy commercial vehicle environment, apply today through ISQ Recruitment for immediate consideration.
