We are proudly supporting an NHS Trust in Greater Manchester to recruit a Purchasing Manager on a short-term contract basis. The organisation is a reputable employer in the region and is looking for some interim support within their wider procurement team.
Your new role
The interim Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the Trust's overall procurement activity, along with the line management of procurement colleagues within the wider team. This role is focused on the Trust's CLINICAL PRODUCTS SPEND, so it is essential that you have experience of this procurement category. As Purchasing Manager, you will manage stakeholders internally and externally and you will maximise the use of established frameworks.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Experience of working within an NHS Procurement role and an understanding of the challenges faced by the NHS - ESSENTIAL
2. Clinical products category experience - ESSENTIAL
3. Strong stakeholder management experience - ESSENTIAL
4. Experience of managing or mentoring a team
5. Available to start this contract in the next 1-2 weeks - ESSENTIAL
6. Ideally, you will be CIPS Level 4 or above, or working towards
