Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only (39 weeks)

About the Role
We are seeking a confident and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our thriving primary school in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development across the primary age range.
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, leading whole-class sessions in the absence of a teacher, and providing targeted support to individuals and groups.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planned lessons across the primary phase when required
Support class teachers with planning and assessment
Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to accelerate progress
Support pupils with diverse needs, including SEN and EAL
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Contribute to behaviour management and pastoral care
Help create engaging displays and contribute to school life
What We’re Looking For
HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience with willingness to obtain qualification)
Experience working in a primary school setting
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A flexible, proactive, and team-oriented approach
Passion for making a difference in children’s education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
