Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Assistant Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support our SENCO in delivering high-quality provision for pupils with SEND. You will play a key role in implementing the SEN policy, coordinating targeted interventions, and promoting inclusion across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the SENCO in maintaining the SEND register and provision maps.
* Assist in coordinating interventions and assessments to meet pupils' needs.
* Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support.
* Contribute to monitoring and evaluating SEN provision effectiveness.
* Support teaching and learning, delivering targeted sessions as needed.
* Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and positive outcomes for pupils with SEND.
Requirements:
* Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.
* Knowledge of SEN policies, the graduated approach, and EHCPs.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and external professionals.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., teaching or SEN-related).
