Job Purpose To align IT security with business objectives and ensure that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of EAs assets, information, data and IT services supports the organisation to achieve the corporate objectives. To protect the interests of those relying on information, and the systems and communications that deliver the information, from harm resulting from failures of confidentiality, integrity and availability. The objectives of the post will be met when: Information is observed by or disclosed to only those who have the right to know (confidentiality) Information is complete, accurate and protected against unauthorised modification (integrity) Information is available and usable when required, and the systems that provide it can appropriately resist attacks and recover from or prevent failures (availability) Business transactions, as well as information exchanges between enterprises, or with partners, can be trusted (authenticity and non-repudiation) Essential Criteria Hold a Bachelors Degree (UK Qualification and Credit Framework Level 6) or an equivalent or higher qualification in an IT related field e.g. Computer Science, IT or Cyber-Security. Hold an Information security related qualification e.g. CISSP or CISM or be willing to achieve CISSP or CISM within 12 months of taking up post. Have two years demonstrable experience of working in information security roles to include experience of the following: Successful implementation of an information security governance and risk management framework incorporating policies, procedures and reporting. The management and/or design of information security enforcing controls, processes and procedures. Demonstrable knowledge of the current and anticipated cyber security challenges. Demonstrable knowledge of relevant information security frameworks and associated compliance processes e.g. ISO27001/02, ITIL, COBIT, NIST, CAF. Demonstrable knowledge of threat and risk assessment frameworks and methodologies. Demonstrable knowledge of cyber security trends and emerging technologies and challenges. Work may occasionally be required outside of standard working hours.
