This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with strong foundational accounting knowledge and a desire to grow their career within a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the preparation of accurate and timely financial information and play a key role in managing queries from the Purchase Ledger team. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes Conducting detailed variance analysis and providing commentary Reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner Handling day-to-day queries from the Purchase Ledger team with professionalism and efficiency Contributing to improvements in processes and financial controls Assisting with audit preparation and responding to auditor queries Carrying out ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required Person Specification: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (essential) AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA (study support provided) Experience in a similar finance role, ideally in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Proficient in Excel and accounting systems Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage changing priorities What We Offer: Competitive salary between £32,000 and £37,000, depending on experience Full study support towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA) Exposure to a broad range of financial tasks and responsibilities A supportive team environment and opportunities for progression
