PCP Solicitor

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services and are now seeking a qualified solicitor to join our growing team in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven legal professional to play a key role in progressing cases, with clear prospects for career advancement within a supportive and collaborative working environment.
We’re looking for someone experienced in civil litigation and with a good understanding of financial mis-selling cases. You’ll be responsible for managing a caseload of claims, including matters that are litigated, and contributing to the development of junior staff when necessary.
Required Skills and Experienc
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
* Proven experience handling civil litigation case
* Sound understanding of financial mis-selling compensation claims
* Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) or consumer credit/financial services law
* Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads effectively
* Reliable, efficient and organised in your approach to work
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Professional and courteous at all time
* Strong time management and interpersonal skills
* Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
* Proficient in IT systems including Adobe, Word and Excel
Desirable (but not essential)
* Previous experience with group litigation or omnibus claims
* Familiarity with the latest developments in PCP/car finance commission claims and FCA regulations
* Experience mentoring or training junior legal staff in litigation procedures and CPR
Key Responsibilities
* Handling PCP/car finance commission mis-selling claims
* Managing client details and case files using our case management systems
* Progressing claims from initial instruction to final resolution, including litigated matters
* Drafting and submitting complaints to FCA-regulated firms, brokers, FOS, and FSCS, and issuing legal proceedings as needed
* Managing the full litigation process including drafting pleadings, track allocation, witness statements, disclosure, and trial preparation (bundling, briefing Counsel, etc.)
* Providing training and guidance to junior staff and paralegals
