Responsibilities
* Support the Arts and Events Officer in delivering a vibrant programme of arts, culture and outdoor events that enrich local communities and contribute to health, wellbeing and community cohesion.
* Plan, deliver and contribute to the long‑term sustainability of a diverse events programme; collaborate with colleagues, community groups, event organisers and sponsors to ensure events are delivered safely and professionally in line with Council priorities and statutory responsibilities.
* Support event operations across venues including Tamworth Castle Grounds and St Editha’s Square; act as a key point of contact for external hirers.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legal, licensing, and health and safety requirements; work with flexibility to meet service needs, including evenings and weekends for live events.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience of working in events.
* Strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for arts, culture and community engagement.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
* Confidence to work with a wide range of partners and stakeholders; experience of supporting community groups to develop sustainable opportunities (desirable).
