Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer - Temp to Perm - £25-£30/h CIS DOE - UK Wide Travel - ASAP Start
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer to join a specialist mechanical contractor operating across commercial and care environments throughout the UK.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start available, offering long-term, stable work for the right candidate.
Please note: this role involves regular UK-wide travel, so flexibility to work away from home when required is essential.
The Role:
You will be responsible for carrying out the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial air conditioning systems within live care home and commercial environments.
Duties will include:
* Installation and commissioning of commercial air conditioning systems
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
* Fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of HVAC equipment
* Working on split systems, multi-split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and heat pumps
* Refrigerant leak detection and repairs
* System testing and performance checks
* Completing service reports and compliance documentation
* Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Working within live care home and commercial environments
* Travelling to sites across the UK as required
Requirements:
Essential:
* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or equivalent
* F-Gas Category 1 Certification
* Proven experience working on commercial air conditioning systems
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* Experience working within care homes, healthcare, or occupied commercial environments
* IPAF Licence
* PASMA Certification
* Experience with VRV/VRF systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, etc.)
* Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge
* CSCS Skill Card
