We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Dietetic Assistant to work in a friendly team of Dietitians with in the Learning Disabilities Service. The role is to support the dietitians to provide a range of clinical, educational and health promotional tasks across East and West Berkshire.
The working hours are 20 hours per week with flexible work pattern and some opportunities for home working.
To assist the Specialist Dietitians for Adults with Learning Disabilities in the monitoring and follow up of patients requiring home visits across Berkshire.
As part of the role, home visits and reviews are provided independently for patients identified by the dietitians.
This includes weigh ing clients, review progress and deliver information to clients and their carers using agreed templates.
To identify areas of concern which require specialist clinician advice and to inform the clinician promptly.
To provide clear and concise feedback to the dietitian on clinical activities and seek support promptly when required .
To participate in health promotional activities undertaken by the Learning Disabilities team
To deliver training to small groups of care home staff in learning disability homes on MUST and healthy eating .
