We are recruiting for a General Assistant. The role is part-time, with a 16-hour permanent contract.

The Role
The general assistant's role is to go above and beyond to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers by merchandising stock and serving the public. The role will also include post office duties.
Responsibilities
* Serving customers via manned or self-scan checkouts, providing excellent customer service.
* Merchandising, ordering, date checking, and rotation of stock in all store areas, including fresh, ambient, and frozen.
* Adhering to company and health and safety policies and procedures to protect yourself, customers, colleagues, and third parties.
* Ensuring a high standard of work in all tasks.
* Preparing for stock takes and counting as required.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Role Criteria
No previous Deli or retail experience is necessary; full training will be provided. We seek someone with a positive attitude, who works well in a team and is eager to learn and expand their skills.
* GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or above (or equivalent), and/or at least 6 months' experience in retail or customer service.
* Experience working in a team.
* Post office experience is desirable.
