About the role:
To work alongside and support the Financial Adviser taking responsibility for research, preparation and implementation of advice and recommendations, including cash-flow and retirement forecasts and ongoing review of client affairs. To keep up to date with technical and regulatory issues and undertake necessary due diligence, whilst being actively involved in the company's Investment Committee and Portfolio construction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare research, comparisons, and technical investment/pension calculations
2. Produce and present cash-flow modelling scenarios for client meetings
3. Process new business applications, fund switches, withdrawals, and surrenders
4. Draft suitability reports and client correspondence in line with compliance standards
5. Prepare review meeting documentation, valuations, and performance reports
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data on Intelligent Office
7. Support the Financial Adviser in delivering high-quality financial advice
8. Undertake training with and provide support to the admin team
9. Work collaboratively with the Office Manager to ensure smooth daily operations
10. Respond to client, adviser, and provider queries in a professional and timely manner
The successful candidate will have:
11. Experience in an IFA or Financial Planning environment
12. Strong understanding of the Financial Planning process
13. Working towards or holding a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (preferred)
14. Excellent knowledge of pensions, investments, protection, and trusts
15. Confident using provider platforms and online systems
16. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
17. Experience with Intelligent Office or CashCalc (desirable)
