Account Manager - IT

Hours - Monday to Friday 35 hrs
Salary £27k-£45k plus commission and great benefits
We’re looking for driven and proactive Account Managers to join our client's sales team. These roles combine account management with new business development. You'll be responsible for managing and growing existing client accounts, as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities. The successful candidate will have a passion for technology, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
Manage a portfolio of existing clients, maintaining high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Understand client needs and business objectives to offer tailored IT solutions.
Drive growth within existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
New Business Development:
Identify, engage, and win new business opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, and networking.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.
Attend industry events, exhibitions, and meetings to generate leads.
Vendor & Partner Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, distributors, and strategic partners.
Stay up to date with product developments and promotional offers.
Collaborate with vendor account managers to deliver joint campaigns and initiatives.
Sales Process Management:
Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and tender responses.
Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs.
Update and maintain CRM systems with accurate and timely information.
Customer Engagement:
Conduct regular check-ins and strategic reviews with clients.
Act as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for client queries and concerns.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and solution delivery.Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a sales or account management role, ideally within the IT reseller or tech sector.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Confident in cold calling and prospecting.
Good understanding of IT solutions (hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, etc.)
Experience working with public sector or on frameworks (desirable but not essential).
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.What's on Offer:
