Salary: £52,000 - 92,000 per year Requirements: Extensive experience designing and supporting infrastructure using the Azure cloud platform. Strong expertise in networking, firewalls, security, and platform reliability within complex environments. Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. A strong understanding of building and operating highly available, resilient, and scalable systems. Confidence working closely with architects and stakeholders, challenging designs where appropriate and improving outcomes. A continuous improvement mindset with a genuine interest in modern infrastructure practices and emerging technologies. Ability to work on-call on a rota basis (24/7). Ability to pass an enhanced security vetting process. Responsibilities: Design, configure, and deploy robust infrastructure solutions across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. Move virtual machines into containers. Ensure infrastructure platforms are secure, scalable, highly available, and optimised for performance and cost. Take ownership of operational excellence, including monitoring, maintenance, incident resolution, and root cause analysis. Drive resilience and reliability through proactive capacity management, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability design. Work closely with technical architects to turn high-level designs into reliable, production-ready solutions. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to enable smooth delivery and seamless system integration. Champion automation and Infrastructure as Code to reduce manual effort, increase consistency, and improve delivery speed. Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, using them to continuously improve the infrastructure landscape.
